Several Police Officers Have Been Arrested For Using Flock To Stalk Their Exes

*Insert shocked pikachu face* 404 Media has reported that an investigation has lead to the discovery that tens of police officers across the U.S. (and let's be fucking so for real right now, it's way more than that) have been abusing their access to Flock surveillance by stalking their (ex)romantic partners.

One officer, Jamarus Brown ran his ex-girlfriend's license plate through the system 69 times and her mother's 24 times in the summer of 2024. Another officer saw this and told him he needed to stop. He'd been extremely controlling to his ex while they were together and required her to be on FaceTime with her almost 24/7, even when she was working AND put an AirTag in her wallet all because he didn't trust her. After their breakup, he abused his access to Flock to stalk her.

When confronted, he said he was "dumb" and blamed his "emotional state" for his abuse of the A.I. surveillance system.

I am not surprised by this. When abusive men are given access to a powerful A.I. tool they will 100% use it to continue to abuse their partner whom they seek to control even if they are broken up with.

Not only is Flock horrible for our freedoms here in America, it comes with more risk of women being murdered by their abusive partners.

Studies have shown that at least 40% of police officer families have experienced some form of domestic violence. That's almost half of police officers. Women are often times in a worse position when experiencing abuse by police officers because they have access to guns, women's shelter locations, judges, and now powerful surveillance software.

Every case of this that has happened across the United States is much the same. The officer wants to control their partner or ex-partner, they are given access to a powerful A.I. tool and they then abuse it. One would think this would be enough for there to be something in place to stop this from happening, but instead more cities are putting up even more cameras.

This is a new form abuse and stalking and there's nothing that can be done to protect the women from it as it's a tool used by police. Making them even more "powerful."

Flock does nothing good for us. It doesn't help in any aspect of our lives. It is a tool to control and abuse and it needs to be dismantled and banned. NOW.
