Tennessee Department of Health Is Planning To Report Children To I.C.E.

In an unbelievable act of racism, (this is sarcasm) the health department in Tennessee is telling immigrant parents, whose children receive public health care that their children will be reported to I.C.E if they decide to keep them on the health care system. Some of whom need it for LIVING. Leave it to Tennessee to keep their racist roots alive. Despite being part of the Bible Belt, they once again continue to act in a non-Christ-like way.

The Tennessee Department of Health is giving immigrant parents until June 30 to decide whether to take their children off of public healthcare or not. If they choose not to by June 30th, they will report them to I.C.E.

Pediatricians and public health care providers in Tennessee are worried as some of the healthcare provided is critical and some of the children face life-threatening consequences if they lose access to that healthcare.

The Children's Special Services program is a last-resort public health insurance program for low-income kids with disabilities. Kids on ventilators and with life-threatening illnesses. For decades, the program has served children in Tennessee despite their immigration status. And now they are looking to either have children with life-threatening illnesses/disabilities lose their healthcare or have them kidnapped and dragged to a concentration camp somewhere in the U.S. where they will most likely NOT receive their life-saving healthcare.

The letter states "This letter is to inform you that based on our records, due to the current immigration status of your child... if the Children's Special Services program keeps paying for healthcare after June 30, 2026, the Tennessee Department of Health will share your child's information to the Tennessee Department of Safety, as required by the new law." This letter is signed by John Dunn, interim commissioner of the health department.

This letter has been sent out to, at least, 90 families in the Nashville area and more will receive them as they "review" more files. All of these children currently receive some sort of important medical care whether it's cancer treatments, wheel chairs, medications, or in-school support.

Dr Sanmi Areola, director of the Metro Nashville Public Health Department, said on Wednesday June 10, 2026 "There is no way to look at this positively on the health of participants, and obviously broadly on the health of our residents. These are some of the kids with the highest health needs, and if they don't have access to care or if they don't have access to medications, conceptually no good outcome will come from that."

This same state has very limited rules for accessing abortions and at the same time are willing to kill immigrant children. They don't care about babies. They don't care about children. They only care about forcing women to give birth.

More families are going to suffer. More people will be kidnapped and brought to United States Concentration Camps. More humans will die due to the rampant racism brought upon by the current administration.

Anyone supporting this administration is an abomination.
